We offer Certified Training to our staff at all levels to further their continuous professional development:
NQ Building, Architectural Studies and Quantity Surveying
This course provides an introduction to the knowledge and skills required for a professional career in
the building industry. Subjects include land surveying, quantity surveying, construction contract procedure, building services and structural mechanics. Open to school leavers or people retraining from another discipline.
Surveying and Mapping Sciences
The major theme of this traditional degree course is spatial data measurement, including spatial information management, measurement for construction and dimension control. Specialisms include engineering, geodetic surveying, hydrographic surveying, measurement systems, software engineering and remote sensing. Open to members of staff with at least 3 years of practical experience and either appropriate Higher grades or HNC qualifications.
MSc in Geospatial & Mapping Sciences
Developed in close collaboration with industry, this new Masters programme is specifically for those pursuing a career in Geomatics – land and engineering surveying, hydrographic surveying, land registration/cadastre and LIS, photogrammetry and remote sensing. It focuses on the theory and practice of geospatial data collection, data and information quality and applications of survey information. Open to any members of staff with an undergraduate qualification and least 5 years of practical experience.
